Boomzap hiring

Boomzap's a Singapore/US based casual games developer. We've been around since 2005, and have so far released 4 titles, with another 2 just gone gold. We're working with a couple of major US publishers, have distribution agreements with all the major portals, and are expanding into new sectors of the casual games industry.

Right now we're looking to ramp up, and want to add a web-expert, a concept art lead, and 1-2 game programmers to the team.

Web Expert
This could be the ideal job for someone who's interested in experimenting with viral tools, like Facebook, OpenSocial and MySpace. We're looking for someone with excellent PHP/Flash skills who's capable of not only working to spec, but also help drive the product forward. Tasks include boosting the functionality of Boomzap.com/Casualreview.com, working to develop innovative new ideas for viral marketing, and supporting our next-gen games backend database.

Game Programmer
We're looking for 1-2 programmers to join our tech team. This position is especially suited for an experienced programmer that also loves being involved in Game Design. Core experience in developing games using C++. Experience using LUA, doing graphics programming (DX, OGL or Console), Networking or Mac programming are all bonuses.

Concept Artist
Looking for an excellent 2D artist that is excited about working on casual games. The ideal candidate is someone who can reach beyond that standard anime look, and deliver Disney-style sketches and ingame 2D art. Experience in UI design is a plus.

All Boomzap positions are full-time positions allowing you to work from anywhere in the world. We've currently got staff in Singapore, Japan, Malaysia and Russia at the moment, and would love to add someone from Thailand to the team. Developing games from Samui, maybe?

Average experience in the current team is 7+ years per developer, with most of the staff having served as team leads before joining the company. We're looking for experienced people who want to exchange the 9-21 corporate rat-race for the responsibility to manage their own time and schedule, and the ability to balance family and kids with their passion for game development.
