Hello all,

To start off i just moved to NC (Princeton/Goldsboro) From DE. Ive been apart of IDGA For a little while now and i just got out of training. I've been doing small time developments with mods and 3rd party tools for a few years and im going to be switching over to the Air Force Reserve. I do 2d/3d art (Skinning, textures, UI's, etc) so if anyone needs some help or even someone to just check some stuff out let me know! I can be reached at feel free to email me but please put in the subject line something about IGDA or it might get deleted with spam.

Welcome Cody. If you don't know already, Raleigh-Durham-RTP is a hot spot of game development so if that's your bag you've come to the right place. If you remain active in the local IGDA, you're sure to find a good match in employment. Good luck!

Welcome to the area. Hopefully we will see you at a meeting soon or at the DG Xpo. Typically, we have a meeting every couple months. The DG Xpo appears to be getting bigger each year, so we might see you there.

New To The Site

How's it going? I'm new to the site and wanted to I guess put myself out there. Right now I'm a student at Devry taking their GSP "Game and Simulation Program" and I just found this site from a friend. Like I said I want to put myself out there so I won't miss out on anything that's happening in this area.

Hey I am also new to the North Carolina area as well as a student at devry University. I currently live in Raleigh. I really want to connect with others like myself who love tinkering and working on mod projects. It's nice to see someone else in the same area that attends the same school. I hope I can attend an event soon and join in on the fun!

Yeah I feel the same way as you do. Right now when I have some free time I'm trying to learn Blender so I can understand how to create 3d art myself. Plus that's the program I heard people saying that Devry is going to start using so I was glad to hear that.

If your looking to go into the game feild I would concentrate on 3DSMAX and Maya. Most game studios use 3DSMAX, but not all. You can get a free Maya download at http://usa.autodesk.com
