Under fear of sounding like a broken record, I strongly encourage members of the Huntsville IGDA to consider going to SIEGE (Southern Interactive Entertainment & Game Expo) in October 3-5 in Atlanta. Think of it as a regional GDC and as a fantastic opportunity to network, meet others in the industry and related academia who live close enough to matter, and party and have a great time. Also, it's cheap. If some of us carpooled and doubled-up on rooms, each could probably do the whole weekend on $150.

Sounds good, being new to the area it would be great for me and a few others who are also new to meet everyone locally. I think me and some of the other people I work with would be interested in heading there.
