The Triangle Game Initiative announces the first annual Triangle Game Conference (trianglegameconference.com) to be held April 29 and 30, 2009 at the Raleigh Convention Center and Marriott City Center. The conference, currently the only one of its kind in the Southeast, has adopted the theme "Innovate or Die," and will bring together the region's most innovative gaming masterminds for two days of knowledge building, information sharing and career exploration.

The conference will include a keynote by Epic Games' President Dr. Michael Capps and five educational tracks with content drawing on the strengths of the region's video game companies, including:

* Innovation in Game Development
* Serious Games & Advanced Learning Technologies
* Games & Media
* The Business of Games
* Game Development University

In addition to more than 35 lectures and panels, TGC will feature a two-day Expo and Career Fair to promote industry networking and collaboration.

Call for Speakers:
Submissions will be accepted for review until January 31, 2009. In your submission, please provide an extended abstract that cleanly and concisely defines your topic and what the audience can expect to learn by attending.

We are accepting proposals for lectures, panels, and roundtables. If your submission is for a panel or roundtable, please provide a list of proposed participants of the session.Send your speaker submissions to Alexander Macris, TGC Program Director.
