Game Design Schools In Canada

Hello my fellow game dev enthusiasts, I just started doing some research on schools in Canada for learning practical game design/writing skills.

I know a lot of you are well learned/informed on such topics so I was hoping to get some recommendations.

I'm looking for schools that rank well, where I'll actually learn and put to use skills that I can build a portfolio with all and all that. I guess that's pretty obvious, but more specifically I want to learn and practice creative skills. I'm an idea person and I want to focus on such things as character design, writing for games/storytelling, conceptual art... Etc.. Not so much programming or texturing or anything along those lines.

I know about Vancouver Film School already, but to be completely honest, $30,000 is pretty steep for someone like me. Does anyone know any other schools that have been given praise in past years? Perhaps something in Montreal?
