Any new chapter meetings coming up?
Hey everyone,
I am starting college again(well finishing it up) and have decided to pursue it in Game and Simulation Programming @ Devry. A few people have told me to check out my local IGDA chapter to start attending meetings so I can start the "networking" portion of the this industry. I noticed there has not been a meeting since April of 08. Any chance I was looking at the wrong page? If so is there anyway of getting this people together to start having meetings like mentioned in the notes from Feb 08(once every month or two). This is something very near and dear to me and would very much like to start participating in these meetings and meet new and exciting people like me

Well i found out there's supposed to be a meeting at osu
this weekend. He said he'd e-mail when /where so i'll be
waiting as well.

of course I am going on vacation to New Jersey this weekend so why wouldn't there be a meeting this weekend lol.
I'm probably going to miss the meeting as well because i didn't see a reply to where / when but will ask this mon about it.
A family birthday was over the weekend as well so even if i
knew i doubt i'd be able to go though i'd still have passed it on.
Have a fun trip post more when i know .

Thanks! Vacation was a blast, I contacted the Moderator and the email thats on the Main Columbus Wiki page and have not got a reply yet. So I am guessing there is nothing really going on yet. Here is to hopes we can get some of us together in the next couple of weeks, even if its just to blab or do some rockband and beer

So I have been checking the forums here for a while trying to see "when" the Columbus Chapter would come back to life. Tried sending emails and this forum thread with no luck. If anyone knows how to contact the chapter leader and tell him you have people waiting for the next meeting, I would appreciate it.

Well i've been to only one which was proabably the april 08.
I'm going to columbus state for game art and animation
which also has some programing involved but seems like a
well rounded program. The teachers have been in the
'industry and 1 of em was at the meeting i went to.
There's a game night on mon so i'll ask about it there and post what i find out.
The games night is board games-not boring stuff you'll
find at target for the kids but real board games.
