Introductions
Hello one and all - I thought I'd introduce myself, a new member to the IGDA and, although not based in London I think you're the nearest group to me (I'm based a little bit up the coast in Ipswich, Suffolk).
As an introduction - my name of is Paul Hutson, I'm currently running two games development studios (one part time, the other full time) developing two games.
I've been doing this for around a year - although only 9 months full time : primarily developing KingdomGame (an iPhone/iPod touch Strategy MMO - with a user base of around 7k currently - you can also play through a browser, links below)...
... and for the last five months I've been working on a new game called Outer Empires with a small team of people, Outer Empires is a graphical space based MMO that is both browser (without any downloads whatsoever) and also iPhone based again - both versions are being developed at the same time.
Looking forward to coming along to the next meet.
Regards,
Paul Hutson

Sure, I'd love the studios to be added to the companies lists.
The first of the two (and the oldest) is "Phutty Studios" - set up to allow KingdomGame to go commercial - before that it was a "just for fun" project. I worked on that full time for a number of months along with two other part timer's.
The second is "Iron Will Studios" set up as a new entity to create a range of new games, the first of which is "Outer Empires". We're based in a small set of offices in Ipswich - with eight of us working on the project (although only three full timers).
If you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Do either of these companies have web sites. I couldn't find anything for Phutty on Google, Iron Will has a couple of hits but I think they are different companies.
They do have URLs (phuttystudios.com and ironwillstudios.com) however, I've not put up any sites for them as yet.
If you could just direct the links to their respective games sites and when I get the sites up and running I could update you with the links...

we are bound to have one on May soon i reckon

Welcome, Paul. We don't have any details yet about the next meeting but we'll probably be getting together for social drinks at least at some point soon.
Tell me more about your studios. Should we add them to our list of London (and nearby) game companies?
