Hi! I Recently moved back to the GTA.
I've never been much of an active participant in the Toronto igda scene and have been living in Ottawa for the past couple of years anyhow.
I left Fuel Industries at the start of the month, luckily before all the staff in my department were laid off. Well, maybe not so lucky, I could be on EI right now!
When I heard the rumors about Ubisoft opening up here and also about EA I thought it was time to pack my bags and move back.
Hopefully I can land work with them, or if not, get in on the ground floor of a promising indie team.
I should maybe have headed over to the Social tonight, but felt it was a bit of a haul to go from Oshawa to Toronto, only to sit and drink a beer by myself.
Maybe next time.
Anyways, if anyone is interested, you can take a look at the portfolio of my work (link is in my sig). I am available to work freelance in many art areas. I'm working a lot with Blender now, if there are any Blender heads around.
Any news on when Ubi is opening their doors? Are there any other opportunities coming up here?
So after all that, just wanted to say Hi.
Cheers,
Todd
Thanks nauht. I heard that too. I had thought that other important things had slipped by unnoticed.
I guess it's safe to assume that it's going to be a bit more time before they get it up and running.
Cheers

They should be up and running before the end of the year. They already have a place I bet.

The only other news that has been announced is that Jade Raymond will be heading up the TO studio.
