How's it going fellow IGDA members. My name is Shaun Halliburton and I'm an Online Game and Simulation Programming Student at DeVry University in the Metro Detroit Area. I attended one meeting last year about the Michigan Films Tax Incentives program. The guys there were very cool and even gave me a free book called "Game Design: From Blue Sky to Green Light", by Deborah Todd. I also remember I still owe Chris Boyer $5 for the welcome. Since I am a member now, I have been looking forward to the meetings, but my school and work schedule have not been "jiving" with all the meetings or events. Just wanted to let you guys know I am here and I want to be apart of making Detroit and the Metro area a key place where video games are made. Hopefully these politicians won't get in our way, but only help us. Thank you for creating a Detroit Chapter of the IGDA that I have envision as a monumental moment in the career and industry I have chosen to grow in.
