For everyone going to the casual meetup next friday, we're thinking of having a donation box for you to contribute relief goods.

We're experiencing a really bad storm right now, and even when it's done there will be a great need for relief goods, and I think it would be cool if IGDA manila could contribute in it's own small way. Clothes, toys, canned good, noodles, whatever you think could help would certainly be appreciated.

Guys, we're tentatively pushing through with the meetup tomorrow, as long as the weather remains good. I'll leave to you to decide whether or not you think it's worth going, but if it looks like bad rain please just stay home and be safe.

If you do go, please remember to bring some donations for our little effort to help the typhoon victims. I just came from the red cross in shaw and they need stuff like:

canned goods (sardines, tuna, corned beef, luncheon meat)
noodles
slippers
banigs
bottled water (a box of 24 summit 500ml bottled water is 222 pesos in shopwise)
clothes

Please help out in any way you can. Those of us with a roof on top of our heads and electricity and running water and INTERNET are really lucky, so we have a big responsibility to those that are lacking even the most basic necessities right now.

Thanks guys! See you tomorrow!

If weather permits, I might be bring 1 or 2 people with me tomorrow.

I do hope the weather won't be too grave! >_<

Btw, I dont have internets at home since the calamity so forgive me if I dont have much reaction time online.

Better contact me through cell (for those who know it).

meeting's on tonight

So Pepeng/parma pulled a fast one on us, and is basically heading away from Metro Manila.

So our meetup is on for today, October 3, 7pm, magnet high street. Situation across all of metro manila is different so if you're worried about going that's totally fine. But a few of us will be at magnet in case you want to join us.

Please forward this info on people through text, since lots of us won't be online, it being a weekend. Thanks!

Thanks to all who came. Sorry for the jumping around between place to place.

Thanks to Erick for sharing his insights.

Thanks to the IGDA guys who showed up to share their own local insights and who brought donations. I have donated your goods already, and I'm sure there are a few dozen people out there who'll be thankful for clothes on their back and water for their parched throats.
