Thursday 16th November 2006 This was a special event held for the Game Design & Technology Workshop in Liverpool. The event was held at Klass Bar & Lounge, and was attended not only by North West developers, but also delegates from the GDTW event.

Wednesday 16th August 2006 Sponsored by EA, this event was held at Dry Bar in Manchester and was a great rejuvenation event for the North-West chapter. Photos were taken of this event, and can be viewed here.

Wednesday 9th November 2005 we met at the Crown pub in Liverpool. Sponsored by Weightmans, the event was very well attended by various industry memebers from around the region.

Wednesday 26th October 2005
we had a committee open day at the Waldorf in Manchester. This event was well attended by many more people than we expected, and we are pleased to announce the addition of six new members to the Chapter Junta. Thanks to everyone who took part!

Thursday 7th October 2004 we met at the Waldorf in Manchester, with generous sponsorship from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Another well attended event, we once again had more than a hundred people from the games industry all chatting amiable or nursing their wounds.

Thursday 29th April 2004 we met at the Crown in Liverpool. Another excellently attended event, sponsored generously by Evolution Studios, Runcorn, who were celebrating another successful year. Once again, more than a hundred people attended from many different companies, proving that the North West is still a vibrant region for game development.

Thursday 9th December 2003 we met at the Waldorf, in Manchester. It was superbly attended, the bar tab generous and ample (many thanks to ATI, who provided the bulk of the sponsorship, and Media Training North West for the rest). ATI wanted to announce that they would be having training sessions in the North West in the new year. The event was enjoyed by all, and attracted over a hundred attendees.

Thursday 7th August 2003 the IGDA North West UK chapter met at the Crown in Liverpool. A generous bar tab was provided by EA North West, and the evening attracted more than 100 people who were unbelievably hot thanks to the absurd August weather.

Thursday 6th February 2003 the IGDA North West met at The Old Monkey, in Manchester with free beer provided by Halliwell Landau & Criterion / Renderware. The event was packed out, with standing room only, and was considered a great success.

Wednesday 18th December 2002 there is a joint Winter Festival (Christmas, Hanukkah, Saturnalia, Winter Solstice, Swik etc.) event hosted by M62 Network and IGDA North West at the Fab Cafe (sponsored by Havok) that was well attended and enjoyed by all.

Thursday 3rd October 2002 was the third meeting of the IGDA North West UK chapter, held in the Crown, near Lime Street Station, in Liverpool. Sponsored by Havok, the event was attended by more than 100 people from 27 different companies and organisations based in the North West including Acclaim, Warthog, Virtucraft, Infogrames, Rage, Electronic Arts, Studio 33, Bizarre Creations, International Hobo, Continuum, Realism, Onisoft and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Wednesday 24th July 2002 was the second meeting of the IGDA North West UK chapter, held in the Subclub underneath the Sofa on Princess Street in Manchester. Sponsored by NXN Software and Alias Wavefront, the event was attended by over 125 people from 38 different companies and organisations based in the North West including Acclaim, Warthog, Virtucraft, Sony, Zed Two, Infogrames, Rage, Studio 33, Creative Asylum, Team 17, International Hobo, Continuum, Blade, Evolution, Realisim, Genepool, Headfirst and Runecraft. Ivan Davies, Head of Production with Infogrammes said of the event: "I've worked in the games industry in Manchester now for over ten years and have never seen so many NW companies represented in one place. It was really great to catch up with so many old friends and new contacts."

Thursday 4th April 2002 was the first meeting of the IGDA North West UK chapter, held in the private room of  the White Hart in Warrington. With a bar tab sponsored by Renderware, the event was attended by over sixty people from more than fourteen different organisations including Rage, Infogrames, Creations, Virtucraft, Studio 33, Jester Interactive, Continuum Games, Brain in a Jar, International Hobo and Evolution. IGDA Program Director, Jason Della Rocca, who attended the event in person, declared it to be a "complete success" and looked forward to the future growth and prosperity of the new IGDA chapter.
