The Orange County IGDA chapter is dedicated to bringing together all of Orange County's many game companies and the people who work there to better synergize our talents to improving not only the art and business of making games but also to educate and inspire the next generation of developers to propel the industry even further forward.

IGDA Orange County - January Chapter Meeting

Join us for our January chapter meeting and get to know our newly appointed Board of Directors for the Orange County chapter! December Chapter Meeting and Holiday Social Gathering

Just wanted to remind everyone, and spread the word, tomorrow will be our December Chapter meeting via a casual holiday mixer.  There will be food, drinks, prizes and a great opportunity to network and meet new people within the industry.

Independent Game Conference West

November 5-6, 2009, Los Angeles, CA: The Independent Game Conference West is a 2 day, 5 track conference for game developers in the tradition of the DevCons of old where speakers are accessible and connections are key.  Now in its 4th year, the IGC series is coming to the west coast with tracks on Programming, Design, iPhone/Mobile, Social Gaming, and Business/Production, with a variety of sessions that will benefit game companies of all size

Join us in October for our monthly IGDA chapter meeting. During this meeting we will be discussing the next steps for formalizing and establishing our group as an official chapter with the IGDA.

We are also extremely excited to announce our topic and special guest speaker. This month we will welcome Obsidian Entertainment CEO, Feargus Urquhart as he discusses with us Contracts within the gaming industry.

Current Chapter Status and Next Steps

The IGDA Orange County Chapter is currently rebooting and restructuring through the process of establishing the group as an official IGDA chapter. Our last two meetings have already demonstrated great progress with getting the chapter back on track. We are excited about the upcoming changes and new growth and look forward to reconnecting with everyone.
