Holiday '08 Social Gathering Next Week!

Join us for our first event in over half a year on Wednesday, December 17th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at DeJohn's Restaurant & Pub on Lark Street in Albany! We will be meeting for socializing and discussion (which begins at 6:30) on several topics including:

* Chapter Chartering and Elections coming up in Spring 2009
* The Global Game Jam coming up on January 30-31st.
* Highlights of the 2008 IGDA Leadership Forum.
* GDC 2009

Global Game Jam

The Albany IGDA Chapter will be participating in the 1st Annual Global Game Jam which is coming up on January 30th- February 1st. This event is being organized by the IGDA Education SIG. The Albany site for the Game Jam is here.

GDC 2009 discount deadline is coming up!

The 2009 Game Developers Conference is in San Francisco again this year.
Developers from all over the world will be meeting up to share ideas and talk shop from March 23rd to 27th.

Deadline for Alumni discount is December 18th! That is a 35% discount on the main pass.
CA application is also open right now.
