UMBC Digital Entertainment Conference 4/12

UMBC is holding its 3rd annual Digital Entertainment Conference on April 12th from 10:30 to 5:30 PM at UMBC In Lecture Hall III.

This event brings speakers from the industry to come and speak about their areas of expertise in the industry. No RSVP is required to attend this free event.

Thank you Simulistic - Maya talk

The Baltimore IGDA chapter would like to send a big thank you to Jeff Meeker from Simulistic for demoing and (with Autodesk) sponsoring the talk. Elections were held and we have a new board:
Chapter Coordinator: Tronster Hartley (Geek House Games LLC / Breakaway Games)
Content Manager: Paul Oliver (Legendary Studios)
Community Manager: Brett Doerle (Day 1 Studios)

Additionally we have an Advisory board:

Chapter Meeting - Thursday, March 27th at 7pm

Thursday, March 27th, at 7pm the Baltimore chapter of the IGDA will be having our next meeting. Two features at this meeting:

  • Autodesk will have a Maya-based presentation
  • Annual board elections will be held (postponed from Oct'07)

This meeting will be held at a new location, the backroom of the Greystone Grill located at Hunt Valley Mall. (118 DD Shawan Road, Hunt Valley, MD)

Anyone may attend the meeting. Drink tickets and buffet-style food will be provided thanks to our sponsor Autodesk. Only existing IGDA members are allowed to vote. You can sign up to become an IGDA member at: igda.org
