Transition to new web-site with new features
The Baltimore chapter is working with the national IGDA as we complete our transition to the new, unified web system.
This new web software will be our single point for chapter news, forums, board member voting, and much more.
Besides connecting the final system, we are in need of a Baltimore IGDA logo. If you have art / design skills, and would like to make logo; please submit it to Baltimore's content manager: Tina Tyndal.

The next IGDA Baltimore Chapter meeting will be on Thursday February 26th. Our sponsor is ”Fallen Earth” will be on hand to talk about their upcoming game.
We are also holding board member elections at our next meeting. We have four positions in the chapter committee: Chapter Coordinator, Content Manager, Community Manager, and Sponsorship Salesperson. To run for and IGDA board position, you must be a member of the National IGDA in good standing. Voting is also only allowed by those members of the National IGDA in good standing.

Chapter Meeting - Tuesday, January 13th, 2009
The Baltimore IGDA Chapter would like to invite you to our first meeting of 2009. On Tuesday January 13 game industry middleware provider Scaleform will be on hand to give a presentation of their products.
Scaleform is also sponsoring the event and will be providing food and drinks at the Greystone Grill.

Summer Meeting Update
I've never blogged, although I've been tempted to try it because I love reading the blogs of industry friends who do.
I thought you all should know that the Chapter Committee is still alive, although we haven't yet organized anything for the summer. As I mentioned on the forums, I have a new alt:
I feel a bit like I've been hit by a truck. I guess you could say I'm having issues with work/life balance right now, except it isn't work that's depriving me of sleep this time! How refreshing! (Maybe "refreshing" isn't a word I should be using right now.)
Anyway, the committee (me, Paul, Lindsay, and Tronster) will definitely get something in gear for this summer: apologies for the long, lean period with no announcements.
In other news, I'm off to the Casual Game Association Seattle 2007 conference next week. (Ah ha! Possible topic for a future meeting: What I Did at CGA Seattle.) Let me know if you'll be there too, and we can try to connect.
Meeting Postponed Due to Weather
Tonight’s meeting has been postponed due to inclement weather and is rescheduled for Wednesday, March 14th. Details on meeting location will be announced when they become available.
Possible Meeting Rescheduling
We are attempting to secure a speaker for this months IGDA chapter meeting, but they may not be able to make it on Nov. 15th. We may be changing the meeting date to facilitate our speaker’s schedule.
