Elections Coming Up!
I posted this to our Yahoo group last night. Thought it was important enough to post here again, but lets keep the conversation together on the Yahoo list:
Hello all. Well it is almost time to hold elections for the board of directors for the Colorado chapter of the IGDA. There are three elected positions and two positions appointed by the board after elections.
We'll be meeting again on Monday, Feb. 6 at 7 pm. at the Tavern Uptown in Denver. At that meeting it would be an ideal time for those wanting to run for a board position to say a few words. If you would like to run for a position, let me know (before, during, or even slightly after) the meeting. You can (and should) provide a few paragraphs of text about yourself and why you'd like to be on the board. I'll post all of those to the web site before we hold elections.
First Colorado Game Developers Board of Directors
Thanks to all who voted. The elected members of the first board are: Kit Burgess, Gary Rosenzweig and Jon Ternlund. We've already had our first board meeting and have some great things planned for the coming year, starting with a new location for our meetings. The Tavern Uptown has a great private room that includes a flat screen TV we can use to make presentations, comfortable seating that will be great for conversations, and we can order drinks and food while we meet. We've already got our first meeting there set for Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m.
Colorado chapter Board voting has begun
Elections for the Colorado chapter Board of Directors has begun, and will run for just over a week. If you're a non-student IGDA member of the Colorado chapter be sure to vote now:
We have 5 great candidates running for 3 seats. This vote is very important for determining the future direction of our local group.
When you're done voting here, don't for get to vote for the broader IGDA Board of Directors as well: http://www.igda.org/2010election/BoDVote.
