The SIG's main activity is to publish white papers with diverse and useful information on a variety of topics in online gaming. Our current papers cover:

  • Web/downloadable games
  • Mobile games
  • Persistent world games

Past white papers have been presented at the Game Developers Conference every year since 2002, and are published on this site.
The group is also mobilizing to form a venue for recognizing achievements in online game development.
