Indies in the Classroom
A talk with several up and coming young developers about their experience trying to go above and beyond the call of their classes and break out on their own. Speakers will include:
Allen Pestaluky
Designer Programmer in his final year of the
Interactive Multimedia and Design stream of the Information Technology
program at Carleton University and Algonquin College. He has released a
couple of indie games including Hideout!, which is available on X-Box
Live Indie Games.

Luke Stephenson
Collaborator with Allen on the project Toy Factory a
game a year in the making. He has multiple other projects under his belt.
Owen Deery
lead programmer of the Indie hit Dinosplode, currently in
his final year of the Game Development program at Algonquin College, he
is currently working on another indie project, Weikenhold.
Derek Ledoux
During his final year of school helped found Dirty
Rectangles, Ottawa's local indie games collective.
This event is free for IGDA members which includes a complimentary drink.
A $5 cover charge will apply to non-members.
