Newsletter Ads
The IGDA distributes a monthly electronic newsletter to the 80,000+ emails in our database. This newsletter contains the latest news and info about the IGDA and our efforts. There is ad space available to sponsor.
Chapter Sponsorships
IGDA chapters meet regurlarly all over the world. Sponsoring a chapter allows you to get down to the community at a grassroots level. Chapter sponsorships include such things as your logo on the meeting invitation, giving a welcome speech at a meeting, distributing a product spec sheet, etc. Given the autonomous nature of each chapter, Partners are welcome to contact each chapter directly for faster action.
Summits/Think-Tanks
The IGDA holds an annual "summit" at the Game Developers Conference to crunch on a specific industry issue. Past summits have focus on industry/academic relations, quality of life challenges and business issues. Sponsoring one of these major events gets you involed with all the associated PR, a free GDC tutorial pass, ability to distribute collateral to the attendees, etc.
Event Give-Aways
The IGDA always produces some cool swag (usually a t-shirt) to give away to IGDA members during the annual Game Developers Conference. Sponsors of the give-away get their logo on the swag.
GDC Student Scholarships
Each year, the IGDA awards 25 "scholarships" to eligible students from around the world to attend the GDC free of charge. Sponsoring these scholarships is a huge gesture of goodwill and supports the growth of the next generation of game developers. Sponsors are incorporated into all PR associated to the scholarships, can attend the recipient orientation session at GDC, gain access to all the student applications/resumes, get your logo on scholarship info page, etc.
Membership Cards
All IGDA members receive a membership card when they join (or renew). This card is to prove their membership status and to gain access to various member benefits. Sponsoring the member cards gets your logo on the back of the card along with a logo/URL in the letter that is sent to each member when they receive their card, etc.
Ad Hoc Committee Projects
Through the active work of the IGDA and its committees, many different opportunities develop during the year. From sending posters to thousands of high schools for a student outreach program, to funding research on gender equalities in the work place, to hosting a VIP luncheon at GDC. With so much going on, there are always opportunities for IGDA Partners to get further involved.
