Perth IGDA September Event Report
The September Perth IGDA meeting (4th September, at the Velvet Lounge) was well attended. A highlight of the evening was a talk by games designer Dave Williams. Dave's very visual presentation was both informative, and entertaining, as he explained the problems of creating an on-line game for 'adult' entertainment. This covered a range of difficulties such as motion capture for the sex action of avatars and the difficulty of working with managers who change the brief almost in real-time. It was great to get this unusual and humorous perspective.
Another feature of the evening were talks by various nominees for the Perth IGDA chapter committee - the elections are very soon. This is the first time that the Perth chapter has voted – the committee has until now been self organising on a volunteer basis.
The evening rounded out with chat and a few drinks.
