The IGDA Philadelphia Chapter leadership thinks it is time for a different type of meeting.

What we are proposing is that the September meeting (NOTE: It is September 11th the second Saturday) is that we do a "Show off what you are working on or have just shipped" type of event.

We will have space in the room for people to set up their games. Attendees can walk around, play the games, and give each other feedback. We feel this will really help the community in the chapter, we are always talking about what we are working on, lets actually play it!!

Here is what we are asking: Do you, or your studio, want to show off a game you are working on? Keep in mind this is a game show, so we want functional games. We don't care if you are a student, professional, or hobbyist; if you have a game and want to show it off bring it.

* Everyone introduces themselves. We have an impressive student turnout, with students from Drexel, UPenn, Camden County, and Montgomery County, and several future Digipen students.

5:35 - 6:35 Post-Mortem by Cipher Prime!

* The time line of game creation
*Took two years, minus a 6 mo break where the concept was lost

* Initial concept idea vs end result
*Initial sound idea became a very interesting sound generation tool

On Thursday, March 4, the newly appointed Philadelphia Chapter Leadership team met to discuss goals for the upcoming year and the next chapter meeting.

Due to both GDC and PAX East taking place in March, in order to avoid rushing to get a meeting organized, the team has opted to forgo a March meeting. As mentioned in the meeting notes, going forward, all Philadelphia IGDA Chapter meetings will take place on the 1st Saturday of the month.
