Healthy Game Jam Marathon hosted by Pittsburgh IGDA

The Pittsburgh IGDA is holding a Healthy Game Jam Marathon on Saturday May 22 to Sunday May 23 at Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center.

There are two jam events back to back.

1. Apps for Healthy Kids submission creation jam
10:00AM Sat May 22 to 10:00AM Sun May 23.
Create a game or tool to motivate healthy habits in kids!

2. "Think Outside the Ball" Physical Game Jam
10:00AM Sun May 23 to 4:00PM Sun May 23
Create a new sport or physical game!

Prizes will be awarded and winning games might be featured at the Steel City Games Fest, August 27-29

1. Apps for Healthy Kids submission creation jam
* Apps for Health Kids is a nation-wide contest to create innovative, fun and engaging software tools and games that encourage children directly or through their parents to make more nutritious food choices and be more physically active. The contest features $60,000 in prizes. Deadline to enter is June 30th and winners are announced at the end of the summer.
2. "Think Outside the Ball" Physical Game Jam
* Groups and individuals are invited to come to Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center and join in the competition to invent the best new sport or physical game.(In partnership with Obscure Games Pittsburgh)

Prizes will be awarded from 4:00PM to 4:30PM on Sunday.
