A note on the mailing list subscription process:

The Quality Assurance SIGs mailing list requires you to be approved before you can start sending or receiving emails for the list. When you subscribe through the website an email is sent to the list moderators to review your request and process it. If you do not appear to come from a known developer, publisher, etc. (i.e. you signed up with your personal email address) often the moderator will send you an email to get more information from you. We will generally attempt to contact you two to three times before denying your request.

The problem comes when you accidentally type in your email address incorrectly and then it bounces when we try to contact you. At that point there is nothing we can do and no way to reach you to tell you that we’re unable to approve your request.

So if you apply to join the mailing list and within 48 to 72 hours you do not receive either a) a subscription notification or b) an email from a moderator asking you to clarify who you are, then we suggest you try and re-apply and double check your email address.
