Welcome! IGDA Rochester is the newest chapter of the IGDA. We're located in Rochester, NY, USA, home to local studios such as Darkwind Media and powerhouse universities such as the Rochester Institute of Technology. Everybody is welcome to attend -- not just Rochester locals!

Global Game Jam
Information about the Global Game Jam has been posted to RIT's website. Rochester's location for the Global Game Jam is hosted by RIT's Department of Interactive Games And Media and will be taking place this upcoming weekend.

IGDA Rochester First Meeting
IGDA Rochester will be having its first meeting. We'll be introducing ourselves, providing a limited amount of pizza for attendees, divining what you would like to get out of IGDA Rochester, and talking about formally chartering the chapter. We'll also have a meet-and-greet!

For driving directions, please use www.rit.edu. Alternatively, you can use 1 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester, NY, 14623 in Google Maps and follow signs on campus to the building. Room 1435 is on the first floor.

Thanks for putting up with us, folks! We'll be putting up an additional website for the Rochester IGDA shortly, which we will use alongside this IGDA portal.
We are currently organizing our committees and setting up our first meeting, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.
Rochester IGDA -- We're Official!
The Rochester IGDA now has a presence on the official IGDA site and is actively recruiting local members. The first meeting is currently being planned and will likely happen between mid December 2009 and the end of January 2010.
