BBC: Being Lara Croft

Via ActionTrip comes this story from the BBC about the models behind the Lara Croft games: Being Lara Croft.

It talks about how and why Eidos is spending so much attention and dollars in turning her into a mainstream celebrity.

One of the big problems with the games industry is that whilst it has icons, it does not have many celebrities.

Hardly any in fact. It is one of the reasons why, for the moment, video games will continue to struggle against the movie and music stars for newspaper column inches.
