Strippers and GH 3
According to this entry over on Joystiq, First Look: Guitar Hero III, the upcoming Guitar Hero 3 features a stage set in a strip club, and the developers used mo-cap of strippers for the go-go girls on the stage at that particular venue.
Neversoft has a full-sized motion capture studio at their facility in California, so why not make good use of it? Especially if you have to mocap some strippers. Tough work, this rock stuff. Based on what we saw, the dancers will be giving Soul Calibur a run for the money. Jiggle factor five, Mr. Sulu.
What's interesting about this, at least to anyone who knows the history of the brand, is how that's a departure from the work that had previously gone into the game to attract and retain a more diverse audience. that traditionally doesn't like this stuff. I'm not saying it's bad thing - it's just surprising for this particular brand.
