Update: Presenters announced! Straight Outta TOJam: Pint-Sized Postmortems

In our first ever collaboration between TOJam and IGDA Toronto, please join us in welcoming teams from TOJam: Sixty Times! They will be sharing their valuable insight in the good, the bad, and the ugly of their experience of making a game in under 3 days.

Join us for the next unstoppable IGDA Toronto Chapter meeting, as we hear from five TOJam teams about what went right and what went wrong in their quest to develop a video game in a single weekend. Your votes will help decide which of these teams is most deserving of the IGDA Special Prize for Excellence in Jamming!

Update: The presenters have been announced!

Team: Discovery Channel
Game: Parable
The Lowdown: You may remember Randy talking the talk about "raising the bar higher" and providing players with tough choices at Open Mic Night.
Now let's see if he's put his money where his mouth is with Parable, a choose-your-own adventure, with visuals based on the Garden of Earthly Delights by Heironymus Bosch.

Solo Jammer: Damien Sommer
Game: A Friendship in 4 Colours
The Lowdown: TOJam neophyte Damian Sommer is no stranger to game development. Find out why some people were calling his co-operative platformer their favourite TOJam Sixy Times game.

Team: Golden Slug
Game: Poppycock
The Lowdown: "Poppycock" features a very honest gentleman regaling a bar with the true tale of what just happened to him on his way to the bar.
Werewolves and Cthulhu are involved. It's an infinite run and jump with randomly generated levels and a hat-based health system. His story always seems to end with his own terrible death. Fellow patrons are skeptical.

Sound Floater: Troy Morrisey from D.A.R.C. Productions
Game: (multiple)
The Lowdown: Running on only 4 hours of sleep for the entire weekend, TOJam first-timer Troy created 9 songs and over 100 sound effects for a number of different games being created at the jam. Find out how to fuse your OWN body with a soulless metal exoskeletion so that you can become an unstoppable machine like Troy.

Team: ibehard
Game: Bacon Shark
The Lowdown: ibehard was comprised of a number of jammers with NO GAME DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE, including two journalists and a music composer (Or should that be "comPOSEUR"??) Come to the meeting to find out whether Bacon Shark's got any sizzle, or whether they should stick to their day jobs.

And if that wasn't enough, a SPECIAL SURPRISE GUEST will join us via satellite, to discuss being a big sister, getting along with the kid at school who smells like a butt and why it's never a good idea to cram marbles up your nostrils. (Here's a hint: she friggin' LOVES ponycorns.)
