Synopsis:
With the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii joining the Microsoft Xbox 360 this fall, what are the design challenges and opportunities for this next generation of console gaming? Online gaming, High Definition graphics and new ways to control the games have all been put forward by the console manufacturers as defining elements of this new generation, but which of these will bring in the early adaptors and which will embrace the mass market?
What can we do as designers to help define this new platform cycle?
