Here's another pass at the schedule by Michelle for the FuturePlay 2007 tutorial:

FuturePlay 2007 Rough Schedule:

1. Introduce the topic and speakers (5 minutes) -- by Michelle

2. Informal survey – audience make up.(2-3 minutes) -- by Michelle

       a.	Get an idea of number of students/academics/developers
Michelle sez: I think this is important to do but how will we be able to tailor
the workshop depending on who shows? I think we can all speak off the cuff pretty
well and adjust our talks as needed so I'm not worried about that. Just making
sure everyone sees this and knows about the possibility of an unpredictable
   audience make-up.

3. What is game accessibility? Why is it important (10 minutes) -- by Michelle (I already have the presentation ready to go)

4. Effects of different disabilities on gamers: (30 minutes) -- by ???

       a.	Deaf and hard of hearing
       b.	Blind/VI
       c.	Mobility impairment
       d.	Cognitive

5. Demo of effects of lack of accessibility in games (15 – 20 minutes) -- by ???

       a.	Doom3 (without CC mod) – deaf and hard of hearing
       b.	Some text based game without ability to alter fonts and contrast – blind / VI
       c.	Some complex game with limited tutorials – cognitive
       d.	Game that does not support alternative controllers or no remapping – mobility
Michelle sez: Would it be better to combine 4 and 5 so that we show examples
    while explaining the disability?

6. Examples of accessible games (15 - 20 minutes) -- by ???

       a.	Strange Attractors (v. 2 should be ready)
       b.	UA-Chess
       c.	Blind/VI games
       d.	Mention Doom3 [CC], Half Life 2

7. <Break – 15 – 30+ minutes>

       a.	Accessibility arcade set up with demos
Michelle sez: Who can bring what and how much is "enough" versus over the top
especially given that we will be going out of country (and customs and passports
for all are now required) with this stuff and who knows WHAT rules/regs TSA will
    have in place in November.

8. Specific ways to provide accessibility (Top 10 list) or Eelke’s best practices (30 – 45 min) -- by ???

Michelle sez: It would be nice if we could figure out a way to combine these --
the time we spend now could help for GDC, as it will help us get a jump on a new
"get your feet wet with accessibility" handout. The top ten is now about 2 years
old -- we first used it at GDC 2006. So we should think about how best to update
this to reflect the latest work.

9. Groups/Sites/Resources (15- 20 minutes) -- by ??? (If this is the closer, Michelle can do it for symmetry.)

       a.	IGDA GA SIG
       b.	UA-FORTH
       c.	AGRIP
       d.	AudioGames

10. Academics (30 – 45 minutes) -- by Kevin

       a.	Research
       b.	Teaching accessibility
       c.	Applying accessibility
Michelle sez -- I'm wondering if we should flip 9 and 10 so that we could end
with a "where can YOU go now for more information" closer.

Question 1: Who has the poster now? We could use it at FuturePlay. -- Michelle does

    Michelle sez: I'll bring it!

Question 2: So is it confirmed that Michelle, Dimitris, Eelke, & Kevin ARE attending?

Michelle sez: I'll be there and I'm staying at the Novotel
    Dimitris sez:
    Eelke sez:
