[edit] GDC 2008 Session Ideas

Curriculum Session: A roundtable or panel on how to include accessibility into game design curriculum -- whether it is a full course on game accessibility or just a lecture. We should work together with the Education SIG and/or get it onto the academic days part of GDC. People interested in being a part of session: Kevin Bierre; Michelle Hinn

Expo Booth: This is replacing the Accessibility Arcade session from GDC 2007 and will allow us to leave equipment overnight and have a permanent set up to help members physically bring people to the booth rather than simply inviting people to our session.

[edit] FuturePlay 2007 Update

We have a tutorial day or half day (detail not yet known) at FuturePlay 2007 in Toronto. Those attending and taking part in the presentation: Michelle Hinn; Kevin Bierre; Eelke Folmer; Dimitris Gramenos (sp?). Kevin is working on an outline for us to start planning.

[edit] Committee Information

The specific duties of each committee needs to be fleshed out better and some committees may need to change (ie, should "research" actually be "research and development?"

[edit] SIG Website Update

The IGDA is planning to change the site so that all SIGs will have access to more tools, including Web 2.0 tools, to use to their advantage. A blogging system that is much easier to edit and participate in will be part of that toolset. No word yet on an exact roll out date. For now, the SIG wiki is the opening page of our site. There will be a merger with GameAccessibility.com, as both Richard and Sander have left and the current owners are interested in our taking on the site as a part of our SIG web presence.

[edit] Meeting Attendance

Reminders need to be sent out, along with topics for discussion. SIG members should add the meeting times to their own calendars as well.
