  • double-check for typos and errors
  • launch it
  • double-double check for typos and errors

[edit] Research Items

  • Who's our competition? other SIGs? Other writing guilds?
  • We want to look slick and professional. reliable - yet creative.

[edit] Current Status

  • Last time we struggled with the graphics, so this time I've put up some materials to give us a starting point. You can download and view them here.
  • Don't feel like you have to use any of these materials, but feel free if something strikes your fancy.
  • I'm going to insist on a white background - or close to it. It just looks more professional. (Not standard default gray though!)
  • Things that need to be featured on the homepage:
 1. our articles, whitepaper, quarterly, resource lists, buying our book?
2. news items about upcoming events
3. job resources - openings for writers, contract writers list
4. credentials of executive board and/or committee
5. how to join the mailing list
  • I know I'm asking a lot. Just do your best.
  • Other things that need to be available via navigation, but don't have to be really prominent:
 1. message board
2. blogroll
3. old news
4. more about the sig - how we work, what we're working for, how to get involved
5. IDGA's logo, linking to IGDA's main page
  • Keep in mind that not everyone's monitor is the same size.
  • Feel free to rename sections and arrange the content in whatever way you see fit.

[edit] ToDo List

  • call for comps on mailing list
  • narrow down and refine designs
  • vote on it at a committee meeting
  • divvy up work
  • get it done!
