Self-employed creative professional; President, JRW Digital Media (1994-present), business name for freelance writing, illustration, sound recording, videography, editing. JRW Digital Media is also the production company for the movie Krone Experiment and the publisher of the interactive fiction story First Things First.
- I'm a freelance contract worker, operating in print, web, audio, and film/video.

- Professional screenwriter (scripts have been optioned multiple times).
- Author of highly regarded interactive fiction games since 1998.
- Studied creative writing at Stanford University and screenwriting at USC School of Cinema-Television.
- Script consultant and editor (and game tester) for other writers.
- Freelance manuscript editor and proofreader, including the popular science book Cosmic Catastrophes.

15 released games, 13 Xyzzy Awards nominations, 5 wins, plus 3rd place in IF-Competition 2000. The shareware release of First Things First (2001) was covered by a feature article in the Austin American-Statesman.

- Being Andrew Plotkin (2000; Z-code). IF Comp 2000: 3rd Place. BAP won the Xyzzy Awards in 2000 for Best Game and Best NPCs, and was also a finalist for Best Individual PC, Best Individual NPC, and Best Individual Puzzle.
- Centipede (for IF-Arcade; 2001; Z-code).
- The Tale of the Kissing Bandit (2001; Z-code). Winner of Best Individual PC, XYZZY Awards 2001.
- First Things First (2001; TADS 2). Winner for Best Puzzles; finalist for Best Game and Best Story, XYZZY Awards 2001.
- Pick Up the Phone Booth and Aisle (with others; 2001; Z-code). Finalist for Best Use of Medium, XYZZY Awards 2001.

- Wrote an Inform port of the board game Puerto Rico.
