[edit] Participants

  1. Austin Krauss
  2. Brett Doerle
  3. Ramon Romero

[edit] Review action items from previous meeting

  • Austin has submitted a webpage prototype in which a speaker can register with the database through the website.
  • Brett has begun investigating how to implement a location proximity search
  • Brett has a friend that may be interested in dong web design for the group. The policy team will provide feedback on the current site design and we'll move forward with the final design once the database back-end is in place.

[edit] Discuss action items / potential roadblocks leading up to the 8/15 milestone

  • Discussion of our need of a development server. Jason will setup the database stuff for us on the IGDA server early next week.
  • Austin will do development mock-ups of the IGDA database interaction until the new IGDA database implementation is rolled out to the team.

[edit] Longer term tasks

  • Brett has volunteered to do initial R&D of file uploading and web page retrieval for speaker materials. Ramon gave us an initial scope for what this will entail. We agreed that simple file uploading and downloading should be done for a first task, with the later feature of being able to search content via a database being put off for a phase 2.
  • Brett has volunteered to continue his research of location-based data retrieval

[edit] Next Meeting

  • The participants agreed to coordinate the next meeting date/time via the email list.
