[edit] Website Experience

  • General Ideas: Skeleton Site, atheistic beautification needed, supporting materials needed, description of how to walk through the site (but will be addressed by CMS below).

[edit] Ongoing Content Management

  • Tool to manage the content itself – a CMS? Or a happy medium? Go edit page? Wizziwig? Java-E? (Shane will find tool by mid-week next)
  • Make admin area of the site (Who owns?)
  • Tool to take PHP hooks
  • Is there a way on the current server to log in and get command line access (Jason to set up or run)
  • Maybe Word Press? Or Mambo? (Shane)

[edit] Beautification

  • We need to find someone to do beuatification, so will issue a call to the IGDA
    • Request for Design Volunteerism
    • Skills: Usability, Interface, Form design, Site architecture
    • (Nichol to write and send to Jason. Shane to send specs to Nichol next week)
  • Worse case – Use open source

[edit] Usability

  • Have Ramon’s process chart but also need the hierarchy of the pages
  • Ask Ramon if he has time to map this out (Nichol – will let him know Jason will help out)

[edit] Database Query into IGDA

  • Create framework for DB to hook into IGDA (Austin)
  • Actual DB hook implementation (Jason)

[edit] Methodology for Upload Subversion to Server (Shane/Austin)

  • Great automated ways to do that but not cross-platform
  • Can add a web front end that accepts a click update
    • Little shell script that lives on subversion version and will log into IGDA DB to allow servers to communicate

[edit] Web Search (Brett)

  • In-process, he’s working on it
  • File upload is hooked into speakers home page, allows you to upload and download

[edit] Log-In Framework (Austin)

  • Will be using sessions to store

[edit] Overall Timeline
