Talk:Rating and Censorship/Research and Resources
International Game Developers Association
[edit] Sources
Finding sources on game development is difficult. For a historical look at research and opinion pieces, these magazines and locations might have to be investigated:
- Game Developer Magazine goes back to spring of 1994.
- MCV archives and Develop mag
- Books, are there any on game ratings? (not found many things on Amazon, need a library lookup - must do)
...note to self, the game industry doesn't hold onto history too well.
- Wikipedia might have some sources I missed. Quite a few random articles on censorship and controversy.

[edit] Referencing
I've done references generally like this:
- Article Name Publication Date of Publication (Additional Information)
Article Name might well be a link to where it is on the web.
For instance:
- Random Book on Video Game Ratings Mr. Someone January 1st, 2000 (ISBN: 000-000000000)
For some things, likely there will eventually be subpages explaining the content in some detail if possible for educational reasons.
For information on one-line links, I do an additional bullet with more information (usually involving context, content of the thing, and where it is based):
- Random Book on Video Game Ratings Mr. Someone January 1st, 2000 (ISBN: 000-000000000)
- This book explains video game ratings in the USA.
