A pox on the game industry since 1991, François Dominic Laramée claims that he has made some sort of dubious contribution to over 25 titles published on consoles, personal computers, interactive television networks, the internet, and handhelds. The fact that his "credits" include production, artificial intelligence, design, writing and studio management only means that he has repeatedly proven unable to focus on a single job for any significant amount of time.

As if that weren't aggravating enough, FDL has also written/edited 2.5 books about game development, Game Design Perspectives and Secrets of the Game Business. (The second edition of Secrets only counts for half, and we're being generous here.) He has also published over 100 articles in various print and online media, chaired the IGDA's quality of life committee for 2+ years, and speaks at GDC constantly, sometimes even during his own sessions.

Oh, and he moonlights as a stand-up comedy and TV writer, and as of August 2005, he will also become the featured game columnist on "La Revanche des Nerdz," a daily tech show on French Canadian television. Woe is us.
