Rub Rabbits Game Director Yoshinaga talks about the gender balance of his team

In a recent blog entry on 1up.com, Game Director Takumi Yoshinaga talks about the composition of his team during the creation of DS game The Rub Rabbits!

"Because the original concept and intent of The Rub Rabbits! is to create a love comedy that has not been done before in previous SEGA titles, we included many female members on the team to help balance and develop the game. In fact, more than half of the members are women.

Having so many female members on the team helps to create mini-games that are not so overwhelmingly male-oriented, but are more open to female gamers. The multiplayer games have also been balanced so that male and female players can work together to communicate and play the game. Games like Hullaballoo and Baby Making Mode require that multiple players openly talk and communicate in order to successfully obtain the goal."
