IGDA July 2019 - Annual BBQ

Posted By Administration, Sunday, July 14, 2019
Today we gathered at D20Studios' founders house for our annual BBQ. We had about 12 people and their families join us for a fun get together and pot luck! Thank you to all those who contributed. Towards the end a random summer thunder shower came along and almost blew our party away, but the group rallied quickly to secure the mainsail and stow below deck where we played 8 player Xbox One and the latest Crashnauts build. Overall I think it was a huge success and there were lots of great conversations and networking a-plenty.

We had about 17 in our group and we were near the front this year, between Black Lives Matter and Planned Parenthood. All the walkers made it through successfully and Bearded Dragons showed off a great presentation. Thank you to the sponsors SpyHop and watch for Bearded Dragons the new indie game coming out soon, developed by local Utah indie developers!

We gathered at the library and we discussed chapter business, new volunteers, plans for the year, and the state of the game industry around us. Then we did introductions and broke into groups for networking and one board game. Overall it seemed like there were many great conversations, and we look forward to working with you in the new year!
